Start and Turn Clinic this weekend

Parents & Swimmers,

I apologize for the late notice; however we got it arranged to do a Start & Turn Clinic for all swimmers with the Lawrence Aquahawks from 8:00am-10:00am on Saturday, April 24th at Haskell. This clinic will be run with help from Tony and Anthony Portela.

Anthony Portela is a former Minnesota Gopher, NCAA All-American, 2008 US Olympic Trials Qualifier, and Puerto Rican National Team swimmer. He will be in town to spend time with his family and has agreed to work with our swimmers on their starts and turns.

Anthony's Biographical information from the University of Minnesota is attached here.

Tony Portela will also be available to work with swimmers. Tony is a former standout for the Alabama Crimson Tide, NCAA All-American, 1984 Olympian for Puerto Rico, and Pan-American Games finalist.

Once again this clinic is open to ALL SWIMMERS FOR THE LAWRENCE AQUAHAWKS. If you are swimming high school you WILL NOT be able to attend due to the high school rules restrictions.

If you have any questions please let me know.
