Hailey Brull- University of Nebraska-Omaha

Major: 2D Art

Charlotte Crandall- Smith College

Charlotte has been swimming with the Aquahawks for 8 years. Her favorite events are the 200 backstroke, 400/500 Freestyle and any relays. Charlotte competed at State during all four years of high school swimming and captained the Firebirds during her senior season. Her favorite memories of the Aquahawks include travel meets with her friends and roasting her teammates. Charlotte is a USA Swimming Academic All American. Charlotte will be swimming for Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts in the Fall. Good luck, Charlotte!!

Jordan Portela- University of Minnesota

Major: Undecided

Jordan has been an Aquahawk for 11 years. During his high school career, Jordan was an eight time state champion, as well as a member of the Puerto Rico National Team and a US Open qualifier. He is a team record holder in numerous events for multiple age groups. Jordan will be attending and swimming for the University of Minnesota in the fall. Congratulations Jordan and we wish you much success in your college career!!!

Corey Schultz-Bever-Drake University

Corey Schultz-Bever has been a member of the Aquahawks for 2 years. Corey will be attending Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. Corey’s greatest swimming accomplishments include being a member of the State Championship Firebird relay, finishing 7th in the 100 Breastroke at the State meet and getting his Sectional cut in the 100 Breastroke. Corey’s favorite Aquahawk memory include playing Ultimate Frisbee with his teammates on Fridays. We wish Corey the best of luck at Drake next year!!

Matthew Wilkus- Morningside College

Major: Undecided

Matthew Wilkus has been an Aquahawk for 10 years. Matthew will be swimming for Morningside College next year and plans to major in Accounting. He is a three-time member of the FSHS State Team, as well has a member of the 2016 Aquahawk Sectional team and a three-time member of the Missouri Valley Swimming Academic Honor Roll. Matthew’s favorite Aquahawk memories include swimming in three races with a drag suit on, one being at a championship meet, before his coach gave it to his mom and banned him from wearing it anymore. Outside of the pool, Matt is a member of the National Honor Society, FSHS Honor Roll for all 4 years and was a part of the Student Athlete Advisory Council for the Boys Swim Team his Junior year. Evan Yoder- University of Minnesota

Major: Kinesiology

Evan Yoder has been a member of the Aquahawks for 11 years. Evan will be swimming for the University of Minnesota in the fall. He is currently undecided on his major. During his time with the Aquahawks, Evan has been a Speedo Junior National Qualifier, a Top 8 Finalist at the 2016 Region 8 Summer Sectionals. He is also the 2017 Kansas High School State Champion in the 200 IM, as well as the Free State school record holder in the event. Outside of the pool, Evan is a member of the National Honor Society and member of the Missouri Valley Swimming Academic Honor Roll. He is also a USA Swimming Scholastic All American and a NISCA Academic All American. Evan’s favorite memories as an Aquahawk include all of the travel trips he has been on with his teammates. Way to go Evan, the Gophers lucky to have you!!
